Take your BBQ to the next level with this CheeseDog BBQ! The vibrant tomato salad adds a fresh boost to the grilled CheeseDogs, while the roasted baby romaine lettuce brings a surprising, lightly smoky twist. Serve with creamy tzatziki for a delicious summer dish packed with flavour!

Ingredients

  • 4 CheeseDogs
  • 500 g mixed cherry tomatoes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Handful of fresh basil, torn
  • 4 baby romaine lettuce heads
  • 4 pita breads
  • 150 g tzatziki

Preparation method

  1. Heat the barbecue to a medium-high temperature.
  2. Halve the cherry tomatoes and mix them with 2 tbsp olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and basil in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Halve the baby romaine lettuce heads lengthwise and brush the cut sides with 1 tbsp olive oil. Coat the CheeseDogs with the remaining olive oil.
  4. Grill the lettuce for 5 minutes, turning halfway through. Grill the CheeseDogs for 8 minutes, turning regularly. Toast the pita breads for 2 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Serve the CheeseDogs with the tomato salad, grilled romaine lettuce, pita breads, and a dollop of tzatziki.
