Gentle CheeseDog

The Gentle CheeseDog helps discover your taste buds: a delicious fried or grilled CheeseDog, served in a unique corn roll or a dark "black" bun. Delicious lettuce, sweet red cabbage, spicy pickles, and a bold combination of sriracha mayonnaise and BBQ sauce make up the rich filling of this delicacy.


  • Corn roll or 'black' bun
  • CheeseDog
  • Handful of lettuce (iceberg or romaine), cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp red cabbage, pickled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp diced pickles
  • 1 tbsp sriracha mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp fried onions

Preparation method

  1. Cut the hot dog bun partway through lengthwise.
  2. Prepare the CheeseDog in one of these ways:
    Deep-frying: 4 to 5 minutes at 180˚ C
    Grilling: about 8 minutes on the griddle or contact grill over medium heat, turning frequently.
  3. Line the bun with a thin layer of lettuce.
  4. Drain the CheeseDog and place it on top of the lettuce in the bun.
  5. Distribute the red cabbage strips and diced pickles over the CheeseDog.
  6. Zigzag a generous dash of sriracha mayonnaise and BBQ sauce on top.
  7. Finish with the fried onions.
