Spanish-Style CheeseDog

Experience the Spanish-style CheeseDog: a spicy version of the traditional CheeseDog. Enjoy a perfectly grilled or deep-fried CheeseDog in a bed of freshly grated pointed cabbage. Crispy fried chorizo, a combination of sriracha mayonnaise and creamy Belgian mayonnaise, and a little pickled mustard seed complete this Spanish masterpiece.


  • Corn roll or hot dog bun
  • CheeseDog
  • Handful of pointed cabbage, grated
  • 1 tbsp chorizo, fried and diced
  • 1 tbsp sriracha mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Belgian mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp pickled mustard seeds

Preparation method

  1. Cut the hot dog bun partway through lengthwise
  2. Prepare the CheeseDog in one of these ways:
    Deep-frying: 4 to 5 minutes at 180˚ C
    Grilling: about 8 minutes on the griddle or contact grill over medium heat, turning frequently.
  3. Line the bun with a thin layer of pointed cabbage.
  4. Drain the CheeseDog and place it on top of the pointed cabbage in the bun.
  5. Sprinkle the chorizo over the CheeseDog.
  6. Zigzag a generous dash of sriracha mayo and Belgian mayonnaise on top.
  7. Finally, sprinkle with mustard seeds.
